…imagination kicks in.

It’s amazing. Over the past week, something has happened to Joseph’s 5-year old brain. He’s started weaving stories. With relish and great deliberation. A few days ago he reported that he had been to Jerusalem – he had driven there – and seen Jesus and Ronald McDonald. He has started disputing plain facts in front of his face with elaborately fashioned almost meditative narratives.

It’s fascinating, if it portends a creative life. Frightening if it is a sign of a pathological liar…
