..judge haults demolition of NYC church:

The Committee to Save St. Brigid’s had gone to court on Thursday to ask for a stay on demolition, contending that the archdiocese had not properly convened a meeting of the church’s Board of Trustees, required by state law, to proceed, according to court papers. It also said it was contesting the validity of the archdiocese’s demolition permit filed with the City Department of Buildings.

And in Chicago…can this be saved?
