Yesterday around here it was balmy; today the chilly wind would not let the mercury rise above 50 degrees. But something is falling even faster than the temperature in Missouri: support for Amendment 2, the clone and kill bill that would constitutionally protect embryonic stem cell research–the cold fusion of this new century.

Polls that once showed support of 66 percent have now dropped to just 51 percent. With a week to go, this quickly downward trend would indicate defeat for the cloners.
