A reader reminds me:
You may be interested to know that the feast day of St Claude de la Colombiere (quel bel nom!), Jesuit and anti-Jansenist, is celebrated today. At mass the priest in my Jesuit parish pointed out a side altar that has statues of Sts Claude and Margaret Mary Alacoque below one of Jesus with sacred heart. Also, when I came back and read the article, I found that he and Margaret Mary spent most of their time and are buried in Paray-le-Monial, which you probably already know. I didn’t or had forgotten. I visited it many years ago to see the wonderful romanesque church there.
Thanks, James!
