Via PRF: the first ten days of book sales:

VATICAN CITY, April 27 (ASCA) – Sales of Pope Benedict’s JESUS OF NAZARETH have been tremendous. Radio Vatricasn reports that 10 days since it first came out, tHE book has ALready sold 510,000 in Italy, 480,000 in Germany and about 100,000 in Poland. These were the first three editions to come out on April 16, on the Pope’s 80th birthday.

The Greek edition, coming out soon, carries a letter from Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, who expresses his "great and ardent interst" in this book, in the hope that it may facilitate the ‘theological dialog’ towards an eventual ‘definitive resolution’ of the split between the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches.
