Oh, okay we have our problems with so many facets of the BBC, radio included, but there’s much quality there – Rich Leonardi points us to a series from Eamon Duffy on “Ten Popes Who Changed the World.” You can’t download, but they’re only 15 minutes each, so easy listening at the computer.
He begins, of course, with Peter, describing the excavation of the Vatican Necropolis and moving on from there.
(BTW – just listened to the new In Our Time, which is about “Taste.” I really had no idea that “taste” was a concept whose origins and history could be traced with such (relative) clarity. Interesting, especially the philosophical dimensions.)
