As Michael reported yesterday and Rocco hints at this evening, we just might see quite a few episcopal appointments for the US tomorrow.
If you want to be the first on your block to get the news, there is no secret code or handshake or even press credentials required. Around 7 am Eastern (or maybe 8- the time change has messed me up on this. All I know is that some mornings, the new Bulletin is up at 7, but some days – like this morning – it was closer to 8), go here – the website of the Bollettino.
Click on the date, then look for “Rinunce e Nomine”, click on that and then look for your country of choice. It will all be in Italian, but you’ll be able to figure it out. A bit later in the day, the same information will be in English via the Vatican Information Service.
So, see you there! Who will it be? LIttle Rock? Detroit? Charleston? New York?
American Papist has posted a helpful list of vacancies
And to be sure, David Cheney at the invaluable Catholic Hierarchy site will have the info posted – in English – within minutes of its announcement.
