Rome office:
My son is in Rome doing a 1-month TEFL certification program. The first day of class he sits down next to a young woman.  Class begins, the students introduce themselves. The young woman sitting next to David is an alumna of a small Midwestern liberal arts college. She is also a graduate of Homestead High School.
In Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The odds, the odds.
(David’s graduated from the IB program at South Side in Fort Wayne)
He’s doing fine. He asked me today about the “wax effigy ” of John XXIII in St. Peter’s.
Uh…not a wax effigy.
“What? I thought maybe he was buried underneath it or something.”
Nope. It’s him. In the flesh.
Welcome to Rome!
