(Not that I’m defensive about the Thai food thing. Really.)
Is to admit that one of my top 5 moments of excitement in Rome occurred (and my son can vouch for this one. He was with me, poor guy. And puzzled, too.) when we were walking on Via del Tritone and I saw this.
Believe me, I am not a shopper (except for books), and the presence of one store or another generally doesn’t excite me. But Muji is definitely my style – in fact a Muji notebook was my travel journal in Rome.
What did I score? Well, because it we had some more territory to cover, I didn’t want to load us down, so it was mostly smaller Christmas gifts for little ones – ours and The Cousins – simple, but charming and, I think, fun. And not expensive, either.
Therein ends the Rome shopping blog.
(Except for speedy souvenier shopping at the end. Could not score a floating Pope pen this time, though. Chris was disappointed.)
(Another big thumbs up for the Muji site – their Christmas song of the week is an actual Christmas song – Campanas de Belén, a well-known Spanish carol.)
