…but we have a milestone. Haven’t been through this in a while. It’s been loose for a long time, of course, and this past weekend, I offered to just pull it out, but he recoiled in horror. I don’t blame him. But this evening he just appeared in front of me, holding that tiny white thing, and proudly said, "I pulled it out myself!" It must have been really loose, because I didn’t see a speck of blood anywhere. I can only hope that his pride in pulling his own tooth out doesn’t transform into what Christopher’s did – a rather odd interest in pulling other people’s teeth out. I did tell him several times during his pre-adolescence he should consider dentistry, but evidently editing sports video turned out to be more fun.
But from what he tells me, in reality, that’s not too much different from pulling teeth…
