The bookstores is still open, and this week woulld really be the best week to order stuff. Next week will be a little more hectic, and time will be running short.

Today, we’ll highlight the Mass books. The How-To-Book of the Mass and How to Get the Most out of the Eucharist. Both are really excellent, simple, but with a lot of depth. The first goes throught the Mass, gives historical and spiritual context, and very helpfully points to how difficulties one might have during this or that part might be opportunities for spiritual growth. The second was written after Michael had been giving talks based on the first, and was invariably, during Q & A, was peppered with complaints. "My priest’s homilies are too long." "My priest’s homilies are too short." "The music is too modern." "The music is too old fashioned." "People in my parish aren’t friendly. " "People in my parish are way too friendly." "I counted 5.7 liturgical abuses during last Sunday’s Mass – what should I do?"
