Mary and the Christian Life is out – I held a copy in my hand for the first time yesterday in Nashville (and yes, I’m back. More on the trip later).
I’m not sure when it will be actually in your local bookstore or available online. Close to the end of the month, I’d say.
Aquinas and More has it listed.
It won’t be shipped until the end of the month to Amazon, but you can pre-order now.
You can order it from Catholic bookstores, of course- or even your local brick and mortar secular store. Couldn’t hurt.
By the way, this book is from a new publisher for me – Word Among Us – which many of you know for its daily Scripture devotionals. They’ve branched out into book publishing and have a strong list. Particularly good are Bert Ghezzi’s The Heart of a Saint: Ten Ways to Grow Closer to God – which is really fine, suitable for individuals or even parish group study. Mike Aquilina’s The Resiliant Church: The Glory, the Shame and the Hope for Tomorrow is also excellent. Bert and the rest of the editorial team at WAU were a pleasure to work with. I’m pleased with the book.
You can see the table of contents and read an excerpt here.
In the next few days I will be re-opening the bookstore. I’ve had it shut down for a while because my PayPal account was messed with last year and my initial attempts to straighten out were unsuccessful, and I didn’t feel like spending lots of time on the phone sorting it out. But I’m going to have books from Nashville left over, it’s the season for First Communion, RCIA, Mother’s Day and graduation – so I resigned myself to that time on the phone and will try to get things righted early this week – so perhaps you all might help me clean out the stock. Mary and the Christian Life will be available. I’ll sign, personalize, etc. So look for it.
