I didn’t, but a reader writes in:

Did you happen to watch ER last night? I sat down in the middle of it. Some teenager was pregnant by rape. She didn’t really want to keep the baby but her Christian mother insisted that she did. The female doctor was berating the mother for forcing this girl to have the baby. The male doctor told the female doctor to butt out – they had made their decision. Female doctor says, "I’d like your permission to seek the advice of another resident." He turned and looked at her. She continued, "Someone who isn’t Catholic." I couldn’t believe it! How blatant! Meanwhile, thirty seconds later, the male doctor is telling the pregnant girl how he can insert this thing into her cervix that will cause her to miscarry. She asks if it’s a sin. He says it’s just a way of giving God a chance to reconsider. So, in other words, the BRILLIANT female doctor convinced the dumb Catholic male doctor that he was wrong. The side story happening the whole time is that another female doctor is pregnant by the male doctor mentioned above. She’s torn as to whether or not she will keep it. In the end, she tells him she’s decided that they should go ahead and keep the baby. So, the ER writers are wonderful after all, right?
