A week or so of travels.
We leave on Saturday, headed to Knoxville, where we will see my dad and my oldest son. Sunday evening, we’ll go on down to Atlanta to the Christian Booksellers’ Association trade show, which is always interesting. It is never really clear to me why OSV exhibits at this show, but I guess enough Catholic-friendly Christian bookstores attend to make it worth their while. I will be signing books at the OSV booth on Tuesday, which means I will probably be smiling weakly at hordes of uninterested evangelicals who’d much rather get their anti-DVC dose from an evangelical house. But we’ll give it the old Catholic try, nonetheless. It’s a good show for Michael to attend, because it stimulates a lot of good ideas. And..gee….the Marlins are at the Braves Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Wow. That’s good to know.
Then we’ll head down to Florida to see Michael’s parents for a day or so, making a stop, I hope, at Andalusia, which I have not seen since they’ve actually opened it to the public, making it no longer necessary for FlanneryHeads to sneak up the dirt road and hang longingly on the gate to catch a glimpse.
