My husband edited several really interesting books in the OSV spring line.
First is Virginia Cyr: God’s Little Hobo. It’s a collection of entries from the journals (written in the form of letters to Mary) of a remarkable young woman pursuing holiness even as she suffered from severe physical disablities.
Michael has a personal recollection from someone who knew Virginia up on his blog
Second, we have Spiritual Workout of a Former Saint, which is a great title. It’s by Danny Abramowicz who, of course, is a former New Orleans Saints player and coach. It’s hardback, by the way, so it makes an especially nice gift.
Finally, there’s The Catholic Mystique: Fourteen Women Find Fulfillment in the Catholic Church edited by Jennifer Ferrara and Patricia Sodano Ireland (no, not that Patricia Ireland!). The cover is gorgeous:
Jennifer Ferrara is the author of a couple of First Things pieces you can check out: here and here.
