What’s wrong with this picture? When Chaplain Klingenschmidtt simply led prayer in his uniform, praying in Jesus’ name at the White House, superiors sought for his court martial. Here, homosexual activitists chain themselves to the White House fence. Were they ever prosecuted? There is clearly a double standard. As Christians, we need to stand up for our rights to pray in Jesus’ name and to stand for our biblical view. If this ban is lifted, Christians in the military will suffer persecution. OCA will be there to defend their rights. Here is a Washington Times article on the lifting of the ban on homosexuals in the military. By reading these Founding Documents, students will gain a better understanding of our government, and will more fully understand their rights and America’s unique place in history,” stated Senator Larry Obhof.
In addition, Senator Grendell said, “It is important that high school students learn and understand United States history and the Constitutions of both the United States and the State of Ohio. We can’t expect children to understand and defend the rights and freedoms our Founding Fathers intended for us—rights and freedoms many Americans have died for—if they don’t have an understanding of how these documents led to the system of government we have today. By giving these young people an understanding of our heritage, we are better preparing them to be active, and productive citizens.”
OCA President Chris Long stated, “This legislation is overdue. It was that great founding patriot, John Adams, who warned his generation that, ‘A Constitution of Government once changed from freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.’”
The Founding of America Documents Bill will strengthen the language currently in the Ohio Revised Code pertaining to the American History and Government curriculum to include The Declaration of Independence, The Northwest Ordinance, The Constitution of the United States with emphasis on The Bill of Rights, The Ohio Constitution, the Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers.
FDR’s D-Day Landing Prayer
H.R. 116, A Resolution Supporting FDR’s D-Day Landing Prayer Inclusion at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., passed unanimously by a vote of 90-0 in the Ohio House. State Rep. Danny Bubp gave an emotional appeal, urging his colleagues to support the resolution. Click here to hear Rep. Sixty-seven years ago, on the morning of June 6, 1944, as Allied forces were landing on the beaches in Normandy, President Roosevelt went to the airwaves and prayed with our nation for God’s blessing and protection upon our brave fighting men. He prayed, “Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity….”

He noblized the war effort and paid honor to the fallen and those veterans who fought courageously in the conflict. It is only fitting that succeeding generations learn of this prayer that was offered at that most poignant moment in our nation’s history.”
