You know, way back there in time before Elvis and the Beetles and Lady Gaga, the era of free love, Woodstock, flower power and San Francisco, hippies, yippies, dope-smoking potheads that protested everything, but sin, and blew up police stations, shot “pigs” for sport, and who now teach in the colleges and universities. Ahhhhha, the time when they all lived in yellow submarine communes loving to discover who they were by reading Mao, Marx and wearing Che tee-shirts! Oh, wait, I’m straying off the subject here into the land of dropping out on LSD.
Now back to the original question. Will God Judge New York Massachusetts,Connecticut,Iowa,Vermont,MaineandNew Hampshirefor the positions they have taken on legalizing same-sex marriage?
Is same-sex sex sin? Again, it doesn’t really matter what you or I say, or declare same-sex sex to be, it is what God says about same-sex sex. So what does God have to say about it?
Any sex outside of one married male and one married female (to each other), is forbidden and it’s called fornication. Adultery is fornication. Cohabitation of one male and one female is fornication. Two teenagers in the back of dad’s Oldsmobile is fornication. Sex between any combination of any people of any sex outside of the marriage bed is fornication. God says: [1 Corinthians 6:18] Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
So it sounds like if two guys get married or two women hook up at the altar, viola, no more fornication. Oops, not so fast. Because God says that only one woman and only one man can say, “I do,” before God and theHolyChurch, before an ordained minister of God, making a covenant that only death can end, can truly be married. Everything else is still fornication. Like they said back in the 1950’s, “that’s the way the cookie crumbles,” my friend. That’s it. End of topic. God said it, it’s true and there’s nothing left to quibble about.
God started it that way in [Genesis 2:24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Now I know that a man is a man and a woman is a woman. My husband is a man. I’m a woman. That was very easy for both him and me to figure out in less than a second after we met.
Moreover, God doesn’t change. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever.
If you want to read more on one man and one wife – see Genesis 26:10, Matthew 19:5, Ephesians 5:31, and most of all read:
[1 Timothy 3:2] A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife…(Note the number “one”!)
