9/22/2011 – CNN Reports: Stocks plunged Thursday as investors were gripped by fear. The Dow sank 390 points or 3.5%. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 each fell about 3.2%. The Federal Reserve’s comments about “significant downside risks” coupled with weak manufacturing reports from China and the eurozone sparked a broad sell-off that spilled into copper, oil and gold.  As investors rushed out of stocks, they poured money into bonds, sending the yield on the 10-year Treasury note to a record low. At this rate, the Dow is on track for its worst week in nearly three years.

9/22/2011 – Chicago Tribune Mid-Day Report – Dow falls more than 500 points.  Stocks tumbled further into the red Thursday, with the Dow industrials plunging more than 500 points, late in trading as nervous investors flocked to the safety of government debt.

Watchwoman:   For the last two days, September 21st and 22nd, following September 20th, the day “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was repealed, the Dow has dropped like a rock falling off a cliff.  Are we watching God redistribute the wealth?  Is this what is known as God’s Judgment? God has given us leaders like Ben Bernanke of the Federal Reserve and Obama who make everywrong possible decision that will only negatively effect the economy.  Why?  Is it our national sins?  This plunge started with the ending of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”  Could it be related in the spiritual realm?  Ponder these scriptures from the King James Bible:

•  *[Proverbs 16:4] The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
• *  [Isaiah 9:16] For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
• *  [Daniel 2:21] And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
• *  [Daniel 4:17, 25, & 32]  …the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will.  {This phase is repeated three times in three different verses.}
• *  [Malachi 2:2] If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
• *  [Leviticus 18:22] Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

What do you think?  Is God in control of all things?  Does He appoint all rulers?  Does He judge us for our sins, personal and national?  Or are we just a happenstance, random occurrence, just a huge rock spinning wildly in a group of other rocks, that just happens to be the third away from a star that supplies all our energy sources to support life, while all this rages completely out of control in a uncontrolled Solar System in a Universe of chance and chaos where there are no consequences of evil and good overseen by a Power Greater than all others?  ▬ Donna Calvin
