Watchwoman: What I am about to write goes beyond the obvious of hanging this creepy sex offender out to dry, the next topic of concern is where are this young girl’s parents and what is their relationship with their daughter? Someone needs to take a look at that household and the family dynamics. What is a 14-year old child doing without her parents at an Occupy Dallas protest who is said to be from another city that is about 20 miles away? These occupy protest are a very grown up affair and a dangerous place to be even without sexual predators who come around attracted by the easy pickings, plus all the homeless drug users hanging around and who knows what other criminal-type vagrants are there besides. I think someone ought to be investigating the parents and this child’s home life too. If this child is out of control and is a true run-a-way as is stated in the article then why is she running away? Have the parents been derelict in their parental duties and should perhaps be charged with negligence or abuse? How is a 14 year-old participating in an event that runs during school hours? Where is the truancy officer? At any rate, it requires investigating and I certainly hope they are! I think that these overnight protest events are cesspools for sex offenders and every tent and every occupant should be interviewed by uniformed patrolmen before being allowed to spend over-nighters in tents on public property to ensure the safety of children and the weaker who will be attacked and victimized by the more aggressive criminal element. Either that, or forbid the over-nighters and the tents. I would imagine that camping is already outlawed in most of the places where these occupiers are camping in most all the cities. What is even more disturbing is that, as the article states, the Dallas police aren’t concerned! Why aren’t they? ▬ Donna Calvin ▬

Police received information that a 14-year-old runaway from Garland was at the camp. Police checked the area and found the girl. During an interview, she revealed that she had had sex with a man in a tent. Armstrong was identified as that man and arrested. The girl also told dectectives she had told Armstrong she was 19 years old.
