In Memoriam: Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)

With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart.

Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.

Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.

Conservative Pro-Life Warrior Andrew Breitbart Dead at 43

Foul play has been ruled out. The Washington Post reported earlier,

“Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, said his father-in-law, Orson Bean. Someone saw him fall and called paramedics, who tried to revive him. They rushed him to the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Bean said. Breitbart had suffered heart problems a year earlier, but Bean said he could not pinpoint what happened.”

We at AbortionWiki are devastated. Andrew Breitbart was a trailblazer in reclaiming the media in order to reclaim the culture. And he was an innovator in researching – the key strength of our community at AbortionWiki. But Breitbart was not just an outspoken, if controversial political trouble-maker. He was also strongly pro-life. On Feb. 10, Breitbart shared some comments with Students for Life of America members at CPAC 2012,

“We stand strong in this common thing that we stand for. And it is not to be debated. This is the most important issue. …And you guys are the people, the vessels of that message. Stand strong. You inspire me.”

It now falls upon us to raise up the standard this warrior has laid down.
