John Bowles registered Tuesday with House and Senate offices to represent the “ANP,” which stands for the American Nazi Party. He plans to lobby on “political rights and ballot access laws,” according to the documents.

Bowles is not limiting his lobbying ventures, listing several “general lobbying issue areas” on the form, including civil rights, healthcare and immigration.

Contacted by U.S. News and World Report, Bowles said he doesn’t think he’ll have a problem getting meetings on Capitol Hill.

“Of course I won‘t approach anybody in Congress unless it’s a very interesting issue or law,” he said. “I’m going to be very careful about the issues I choose for this.”

Just to be clear, these are the sorts of positions that Mr. Bowles will be required to argue (taken from the American Nazi Party’s website):

As the foundation of any society, we recognize the supreme importance of a healthy farming community. Accordingly, we demand protection of the family farm by eliminating speculation in land and commodities, and by assuring a stable market and fair prices for the farmer, as well as the consumer. We further demand that qualified young Aryan couples be given an opportunity for mortgage-free homesteading on land now held by large corporate interests.[…]

We demand that only those of Aryan blood be allowed to become citizens of the state. Citizenship – and the rights which go along with it – will be conferred only on those Aryans who prove themselves worthy of it.[…]

We must have an all-White National Socialist America; an America in which our children and our grandchildren will play and go to school with other White children; an America in which they will date and marry other young people of our own race; an America in which all their offspring will be beautiful, healthy White babies. We must have an America in which our cultural, social, business and political life is free of alien, Jewish influence; an America in which White people are the sole masters of our own destiny.

People who spread lies and rumors are no different than the jew. How can we combat such actions? Always get both sides of a story. Never spread something you hear. Meet John Bowles The Nazi Who Just Registered As An Official Lobbyist In Washington

According to an interview with WikiNews, Bowles once ran as a Republican for the Baltimore city convention. He came in fourth out of five candidates.

But Bowles may not ever have been a member of the Republican party, instead associating with a variety of National Socialist parties, and splinter groups between 1977 and today.

According to a source, at some point Bowles moved from Baltimore to Laurens, South Carolina, home of “The Redneck Shop” which functioned as a store, a Ku Klux Klan museum and the meeting place for Bowles’ National Socialist movement.
