Can We Forgive Jesse Jackson For “Spitting Into Whitey’s Food?”

Paula Deen Fired from Food Network for using N-word 30 years ago
PAULA DEEN
NOTE: Paula Deen was Fired from the Food Network for using the N-word 30 years ago even after she profusely apologized.
Smithville Hams (recently purchased from an American source by Red China) has cancelled their partnership with Paula Deen and her hams.
Wal-Mart is considering cancelling Deen’s line of foods in their stores as well as many others including Target and other stores just for saying this ugly word 30 years ago and admitting the truth about it.

FACT: Paula Deen is a Democrat who supported Obama in 2008 and had Michelle Obama on her Food Show — however, Deen commented about how the First Lady who Spouts “Eat Only Healthy Food and Don’t Be Fat” ate huge amounts of Paula’s southern fried chicken and other dishes filled with butter and trans-fat.  Hummmmm?
Could this be a contributing factor to the public crucifixion of Deen and the ruination of her business and TV stardom?

Or is it just that there is a continuing and everlasting bigotry of any southern simply because the south is known as The Bible Belt?

Joe Clarke wrote: There seems to be a full court press on Paula Deen for her either joking or indiscriminate use of the N Word, which is only allowable within the domain of African Americans. Call it ethnic immunity or racial privilege, the N Word may be used both as a pejorative and/or an expression of affection within the black community. “Look what we can do, but you whitey’s can’t..” Its as if there is a bounty poster over the head of non-blacks which is titled “WANTED: ANYONE WHO IS NON BLACK CAUGHT USING THE N WORD.”  The reward for these merciless bounty hunters, catching a white person using the N Word, is 300 minutes air time on the Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton, Tavis Smiley, or Chris Matthews cable shows, and a ten page spread in the New York Times. I personally have disdain for the N Bomb – no matter who uses the word.I have Tweeted and Facebooked, the Food Network, and several sponsors who decided to pile on Paula, and like an angry bird, tweeted on their lack of judgment and for their unmerciful actions. How could they not forgive someone who apologized in tears  for something said over 20  years ago? Easy – they are  libs. I was aghast to see a Washington D.C. black pastor, Franklin Jackson, on the O’Reilly Show, suggest that Paula Deen could ‘atone’ for her racism, committed over 20 years ago, by “Donating money  to some black charities.” Do they know anything but shaking down people for money, for sins committed in the ancient past?

Imagine if Paula Deen expectorated into “Blackie’s” food as Jesse spat into “Whitey’s” food in 1969. Unless Life Magazine misquoted Jesse Jackson in a November, 1969 article, that’s what he did, and he has  never apologized to my knowledge.

… Sometimes he preaches on the legacy of slavery, and one senses that as he stands up there, his eyes ablaze, arms flailing, neck veins rigid, he is feeling every lash of every old whip. During these sermons Jackson sweats profusely, the only visible symptom of sickle-cell trait, a chronic blood disease that saps his stamina but which he ignores in the drama of the moment. Jackson talks about himself at these meetings. Once he told of his days as a waiter at the Jack Tar Hotel in his home town of Greenville, S.C. Just before leaving the kitchen he would spit into the food of white patrons he hated and then smilingly serve it to them. He did this, he said, “because it gave me psychological gratification.” It was something everybody in the audience understood.Don’t believe it?
