healing
God is the number one healer of everything.  He can heal anything and everything. He can heal every sickness, disease and even save us from dying. God’s power literally knows no bounds. Sometimes you may wonder how people in your life get sick and why they get sick. You may also ask God why your loved ones die from sickness and why He took them home so early. God has all the answers to our questions but it doesn’t mean we will get the answers from Him all the time.   Even though He may not give us the answers, He still has our best interest at heart.
God will answer our prayers for our loved ones, either with a yes or a not right now or a no.  It can be hard to see someone we love being sick. If He answers your prayers for healing from sickness with a yes, He will bring the healing but in His own time and in His way which is the best possible way. It will happen so we can continue to work, love and live our lives with our loved ones for the fullest. The miracle of healing someone from cancer or any sickness may also be used as a testament in your life or in your family members life to bring other people to faith. If the answer is not right now, keep the faith constantly, and remember that He knows best through the situation. He will never fail you or your family members. Continue to pray with the faith of a child and never give up on your loved ones. Have the courage and strength to continue with the good fight. Just because it doesn’t happen right away doesn’t mean it won’t happen, ever. God has the perfect plan for you and your family members life. Even though sickness isn’t something that we ever want in our lives, through God we are able to withstand the pain that it can bring.
If the answer is no, it can be very hard to not get discouraged, or feel as though He has abandoned you or your family. If the answer is no, it can also be very hard to accept it. But God knows what is best for you and your family member. Maybe He will use His “no” to make something more out of the sickness. He might even use it for it to be a lesson to you or your family members and to teach others a lesson about faith and to trust Him. Often a family’s struggles with sickness can be used to spread God’s goodness to others, and to help restore faith in God and our fellow human beings.
When you or your family member feel as though life can’t go on and that you both can’t take the pain, God softly whispers to you to trust in Him and to accept what is and let go of what has happened. There are ways you can even make peace with the situation. Tell God how you really feel about the pain you or your family member is going through. He truly is there to listen to every cry and every tear. Talk to a trusted friend and pray with them over the situation you’re in. Prayer can bring a multitude of peace.
The most important thing in life is love. Spending time with the people you love, especially when they’re sick, makes you appreciate the time you have with them. Do the things they love, and the things you love to do together. Make a bucket list for them and help them complete it before God calls them home. They need your support through the tough times in their life.
Some verses with God as the healer are as follows:
Jeremiah 17:14 says, “Heal me o Lord and I will be healed. Save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
James 5:14-16 says, “14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.”
Jeremiah 33:6 says, “”Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.”
These verses and more have proof within them that God loves you and your loved ones and wants to heal them. All you have to do is trust in His plan for your life and for their lives as well. Cling to His promise that He will never leave you or forsake you.
