Trusting God is hard, especially when things don’t go our way. Trusting anyone in this day and age is difficult no matter which way you look at it. Trust isn’t something that you can just have with someone these days either. You must work hard to seriously earn that trust with someone and in return get the person to trust you in the same way. It is not easy to be trustworthy with anything that may be going on in your life. If you find loyal people that really are trustworthy, then don’t ever let them go. Hold on to them. Cherish them and let them know you appreciate their presence in your life. Because unfortunately, not many people are going to be there for you in life. When you find the true people within your friend circle and within your family, cherish them and hold them close. Loyalty is such a rarity nowadays that when you find it, it often hits you right between the eyes.
The reality of it is, is that Jesus is the only one we can trust in our daily life and in our faith, walk. There are so many Bible verses that talk about how we should trust in God and believe His promises. Some of these include:
2 Samuel 7:28 says, “Sovereign LORD, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.”
Psalm 13: 5 says, “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.”
Psalm 31:14 But I trust in you, LORD; I say, “You are my God.”
Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.”
Proverbs 11:13 says, “A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” This verse has always stayed in my mind, especially during tough times when keeping the faith seemed harder than ever, if not impossible. This verse has been one of my favorites for a long time, because it reminds me to trust the one who has control over my life, even when things seem completely out of control for me. I know God has great plans in mind for me, and every single one of us in our lives. Through His power and grace, He will line up all the right opportunities in our lives.
Some people may ask, how can we trust a God that we can see? Let me answer that question with another question- you don’t see the love all the time in your life, do you? You feel the love of your friends, family and the love of God in your heart and in your life, right? Trust is often blind. Faith is often blind as well. We can’t see God, but we know He’s there. We can’t always see Gods plan for our lives, but we know and trust that He has a plan for every single one of us. We can’t always feel God’s presence, especially during tough times, but we know He is there working things out on our behalf and in His ways, not our own.
We can trust Him completely and have complete blind faith that He knows what is best for us in our lives, as well as who belongs in our life and who doesn’t. God will give you the discernment of who and what belongs in your life and who doesn’t. He will also give you the patience and the trust that you need to be successful in life, in every aspect. In your marriage, relationships with your spouse, boss, co-workers, friends and family members. He will tell you how to gain that trust in someone and how to be trustworthy to someone else. All you have to do is ask Him to show you His ways. It may take time, but He will lead you to know what He wants in your life. If you allow Him to, He will lead you in His ways so that you are completely sure that it is Him walking with you and making the way for you. Allow Him to have control over your life. Once you feel His presence working in your life, you will feel His power at work in your life like you’ve never experienced before. It can even be overwhelming at times.
There is always an open connection to God and that is through prayer. Praying is something that you can do anywhere at any time day or night. God is always willing to listen to you. Praying only helps strengthen your relationship with Him. It also helps you to learn to trust in Him more and more as you get deeper into the relationship he longs to have with you. When we have blind faith and blind trust in God, He can and will do amazing things. Remember, just because we can’t see what will happen, doesn’t mean we should fear what God has planned. Trusting Him means handing over the controls of our life and our faith walk. Walk with and trust Him with your life in every aspect, and you’ll be amazed at what happens.
