appreciating everything
Happiness is a choice. Finding happiness requires a lot of hard work. You have to work at it every day. You have to work at finding joy in life every day, even on your hardest day. Not only will your stress disappear if you focus on the positive things in life, your health will emotive and so will your outlook on life. People will actually feed off your positive energy. You deserve to be happy with your life. If you aren’t happy with it, reexamine it and do something to change it. Even if it means going outside your comfort zone and challenging yourself. There is nothing worse than the regret that comes with not allowing yourself to find true happiness.
Life gets you down and Satan can easily make you believe that life is worse than what it is. We are in a constant battle between feeling happy and staying happy.  God wants us to feel happy and enjoy life while Satan wants us to be miserable and say that our lives suck. There is so much to be thankful for. There is so much to be happy about in our everyday life too. Think about it for a few minutes every day and remember what you are thankful for. Think positively at all times, even if it’s hard.  Think about what makes you happy. What makes you tick? What is your favorite song? What is that one song that makes you want to blare it all day, every day? What is one song that gives you that spring in your step? What makes your favorite food your favorite? What does your favorite song mean to you? What makes you grateful? How many people have you told that you are grateful for their presence in your life? Focus on the things that make you happy, instead of focusing on the things that make you angry. Not only will you live longer, you will feel better, both physically and mentally. You will even feel better spiritually. Wouldn’t you rather feel better in all of those ways mentioned before than feel sad, bitter and even miserable?
Why spend the time dwelling on things that you can’t control? If you find yourself constantly dwelling on things, find someone to talk to, whether it is your parents, a best friend, a significant other or your husband and wife. You can even go to a professional counselor if you feel you need to. There is no shame in seeking help from anyone. Don’t feel ashamed because you stumble in life, either.  If you find yourself constantly dwelling on stuff in your life, you can pray the serenity prayer. The prayer goes like this: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
You deserve to be happy and you alone can take those steps to make yourself happier in life. You may not think you can’t change your life, but you can. There is nothing you can’t do with God on your side. God should also be the source of all of your happiness.
One way you can feel better spiritually is by learning more about God, whether it is through a Bible study or through one on one time every day with God. You may ask, how can I have enough time for God, with my busy daily lifestyle. Well, the easiest yet hard answer to hear is this- God gave His one and only son for you to save you from sin, death, and the power of the Devil. Jesus gave Hs life for all of us because He loves us, so how can we not spend time with Him on a day to day basis? It takes a lot of discipline, but it will always be worth it. Once you find the time to spend with God, it’ll be a routine that you enjoy more than anything. Spending time with God will become a privilege. You can read devotions every day. You can talk to Him through prayer at anytime and anywhere. You will become happier once you spend more time with God. Once you draw nearer to Him, He will draw near to you as well. You’ll get to experience true happiness through your faith. You will feel you spirit be lifted and your faith will also be strengthened.
Life is just too short to miserable. No matter what you go through, or what you do in your life, you can always choose happiness. Live out loud and love your life.
