Today I had acupuncture for the first time.

I practice yoga, attempt meditation, acupressure, and various other forms of eastern medicine but sticking needles all down my back never appealed to me.

Until now. Desperate for a remedy for my chronic insomnia, I booked a consultation and appointment.

So how did it go? I have to be honest the first ten minutes were tough, not painful but it was hard to just sit still and be present. The next twenty minutes were wonderful. I didn’t want to leave, I felt so relaxed. When I walked outside after treatment the trees seemed greener, everything just seemed more alive, vivid.

I’ll be going back this coming week, I hope and will continue to update this blog with progress.

My acupuncturist also recommended hypnosis and it may be covered by insurance!!!

Have a great weekend!
