I make an effort to wake up happy each morning.
Even though I am a naturally optimistic person, for me happiness is a choice I make. Thats not to say that I don’t have less than perfect days, but the important thing is to not dwell on the negative.
How I choose happiness this week:
– By accepting support/assistance from others ( I have a hurt back/neck )
– Keeping up with my 15-20 minute walk everyday and neck exercises ( it feels good to take care of yourself )
– By spending time with friends ( even when my neck was hurting )
– Holding my elderly pet for just a little longer in the am/pm hours
– Keeping a running task list and crossing one task of that list each day!
All of these things have made my life a little ( or alot ) better this week, and have brought me happiness. I think it’s important to seek joy in the little things and be patient with yourself.
