So many people are walking around in this life, day in and day out, going through the motions, checking off their lists, breathing air, but they aren’t truly living the way God intends. See, God doesn’t want us to just “get through” the days; He wants us to thrive, excel, overcome, and really live and enjoy life more than we can ever imagine!
When you are connected to the Giver of Life, there’s another level of living that you tap into. It’s a supernatural level and greater than anything this world can give you. That’s why Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches.” He is the source of life, and apart from Him, we can do nothing.
John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came to give us life—not just any life, but abundant life—complete, whole and thriving in every way. With Him, you can have more love, more power, more joy, greater peace, better relationships, deeper insight and so much more!
Today, if you feel like you are living with less than God’s best, know that He wants to ignite passion on the inside of you. He wants to give you more in this life than you ever dreamed. I believe that one of the major keys to really having and enjoying life is by doing what I call mastering the art of overlooking.
Scripture says that we are to seek peace and pursue it. When we hold on to hurt and offense, it quickly becomes bitterness that works like an emotional cancer inside of us. But when we overlook offense, when we choose love and release the wrongs done to us through forgiveness, we are choosing God’s ways and tapping into the supernatural life He has for us.
I encourage you today, if someone has wronged you and you still get that cringing feeling on the inside when you see them or think about them, take it to God and allow Him to keep your heart soft and sensitive. Don’t let unforgiveness hold you back, weigh you down, and keep you from really living. It’s okay to say, “God, I don’t feel like I can forgive this person, but I’m asking You to give me the grace and strength to forgive. I am giving my whole heart and this situation to You.”
Remember, if we are going to change any part of our lives, we have to start on the inside. Change always begins in the heart. Choose to overlook offense, choose love, and choose to really live the life God has prepared for you!
