As I continue to grow in my relationship with God, I am discovering more of the hidden treasures. I believe part of my calling is to share with others the wisdom and knowledge that I am learning. People often call out to God when they are in crisis mode but the word clearly states, You must now make Jesus the Lord over your life.  You may even be saved and wonder, now what? What is the next step? Why does everything seem the same in my life? I am still struggling to figure it all out! If you have been saved, first I want to say you are headed in the right direction. If you have not been saved then seek wise counseling but I will tell you it’s the best gift you can give yourself because it sets up where you will be spending your eternity. However, there is a second step that goes on daily for the rest of your life and that is surrendering your life over to Christ. Scripture makes it very clear as to who should be guiding your steps in this life and that person is God, the Father through the Holy Spirit. This decision will absolutely determine the course your life will now take. If you decide, “Nope, I want to run my own life.” Then you must know that will cause your life to go on a completely different course. I will also speak this truth over you; your own course will eventually lead to death ( grieved spirit) and you will miss the opportunity to find out exactly what you were created for, and what your true divine destiny was going to be in the Lord. Good works will not get us into heaven. We can only be saved by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross. The bible tell us that God will be rewarding us for the good works that we will do for Him while living down here on this earth. Again, good works cannot get us saved, but they can get us bigger and better rewards once we enter into heaven.

I believe one of the main things that keeps people from trusting God is because they don’t really know Him. I mean how can you trust someone you don’t even know? We wake up in the mornings and trust our cars will start. We trust that when we go to work we will still have a job. We put our trust in many things but a great deal of people seem not to be able to trust in the only one who can really help us. Why is that? Do you think it’s because it takes discipline? Do you think it takes faith? Yes, would be the correct answer to both. Most Christians get tired of waiting on God and decide that they know best. I used to think the same way but then something changed for me…. I really longed to know God and so I began seeking and seeking. I have witnessed His love for me and others and I am here to say there is nothing in this world that even comes close to a relationship with Jesus. NOTHING.

When you allow God control, it does take faith and trust. It is not always easy but it is the safest bet this side of eternity. He will be gentle with you as He trains you up in the His ways. He will be right there with you. He will love you and He will open doors as well as close doors. When you really dig deep, you will see and experience things that are sometimes hard to believe and you will want to experience more of His love. He will bring opportunities and bless those opportunities if you continue to allow Him total access. Everything is His and in order for Him to promote you, He must be able to trust you. He starts from the inside and works His way out. He doesn’t want to see His children fall from grace so He takes His time to perfect you in His ways. He shows you how to love. He teaches you wisdom. He instills compassion and grace. He gives you gifts along the way so you are more than prepared for where He is taking you next. He does not care at all about your abilities. All He cares about is your availability. There is nothing and I mean nothing that God cannot do to prepare you. The question remains, are you ready? Our only job in this life is to trust and have faith while we take ALL of our cares, burdens, dreams, and longing to Him. He will tell you when to Be Still and when to step out in Faith as He guides you one step at a time. It will feel like walking on a tightrope at times but He promises that there is a safety net. He will be cheering you on, “Come up higher, my child! ” “I have so many things in store for you!” The choice, the freewill is ours. Everyday we keep putting Jesus on the sidelines of our life is everyday that we are playing with real fire. You are so loved by Him and my prayer is that you really come to know Him if by chance you already don’t. This life is but a blink of an eye compared to eternity. Do you want to work for yourself and the very small rewards on earth that will all perish the minute you die and cross over- or do you want to work for God, The Father and what He wants you to accomplish in this life, and then receive His full and final just rewards that will last forever once you enter into heaven? God’s knowledge and love is perfect in all matters and He knows you better than you could even know yourself. Only God knows what you were really created to be in life on earth. Only God knows your real passions. Only God knows who you should marry. Only God knows what jobs you should take. Only God knows how to best handle your finances, health, and relationships. Only God knows the past, present, and future.

Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My father in heaven- Matthew 7:21
