Okay, I’ll admit: I love quizzes. The Belief-O-Matic here on Beliefnet is one of the best, and the money quiz that “Quantum Coach” Elizabeth Grant and her business partner, Cindy Ashton (author of Kiss Your Monsters Goodbye) have developed is my new fave. Elizabeth interviewed me earlier this summer on her radio show and I really bonded with her (guys: it’s the girlfriend thing; we don’t know how we do it, we just do). Anyway, we’ve kept in touch and I’ve learned that one of the things she teaches people is the spirituality of money, that “aura of abundance” thing I was talking about a week or so ago.

I find this subject is totally fascinating. I know that having prosperity flow to you without a huge struggle is definitely a key aspect of living a charmed life, and yet the whole money thing can be such an enormous burden in a life. Elizabeth seems to have a really sane handle on this (and a super-fun quiz).

She and Cindy have developed a program called “Wealth Consciousness Boot Camp.” I listened to a preview call for their program and I was particularly impressed with their “four states of money consciousness” — waiting, striving, wanting, and having. Each state equates with the predominant feeling a person has deep down inside when they think about money and take action to generate more of it. They explain that being in any of the first three states (waiting, striving, and wanting) actually causes a person to repel prosperity, and the only true state of wealth consciousness is when you are in a state of “having.” Once you reach this state of being, your outer world will reflect prosperity back to you.

So, they came up with this quiz that I just took. It’s to help you gauge your current state of being surrounding money and what may be holding you back from reaching your financial potential. I have to say, it took me less than five minutes, and it was pretty heavy on the insights. You get to compare your answers against how others are answering, too, and then you have the option of taking the free teleseminars they’re holding this month to learn what might be holding you back. Don’t be surprised if I’m a fellow classmate…
