VictoriaBernal.jpgAs you embark on the second half of your 30-days-to-a-charmed-life adventure, this is a good time to go back to what you wanted to work on in the first place. Remember the list you made back on Day 2? Look at it again and get an idea of how you’re doing. You may even ask those close to you if they see any progress, the way former NYC Mayor Ed Koch used to go up to people on the street and ask, “How am I doin’?”

My list was about tackling “late nights, lateness, and laziness.” I’m doing pretty well with the nights. I’ve been in bed with the lights off every weeknight by 10, 11 on the weekends. The lateness is amazingly better, too: I’ve been on time for everything for several days (and when I’ve been early, it hasn’t been the most awful, boring experience of my life, which was, of course, my fear.) The laziness is still not so great: I have an unpacked suitcase in the bedroom, and I’ve used my neck problem as an excuse to skip the gym for a few days instead of just alter the workout to something neck-friendly.
With this kind of “report card,” then, my challenge for the next two weeks is to keep up the good works on points 1 and 2, and redouble my efforts around the third one. Not easy, but very, very possible.
How are you doing? Let us all know. And let us know what you intend to do to keep growing.
