Let’s face it, not all our money problems can be blamed on a bad economy,

Some of us are grappling with old habits and patterns that existed long before the crisis we are now experiencing worldwide.

True, the financial crisis makes things worse. And as I always say,
crisis also provides us with a chance to, ultimately, become better at
managing the money issues in our lives.

As a money coach, I have come to understand that no one teaches us how
to be successful with money, and this is a huge problem in our culture.
So, of course, we’re bound to make mistakes!

Part of our work as adults is to realize that money as a subject is the
last taboo and greatly needs to be explored and healed so that we can
make clear and informed choices that serve us and help us to create a
better future for ourselves and our children. We can no longer afford
to take the ostrich approach to money, or be financially impulsive or
avoidant.

The fact that no one taught us about money, personal finance, salary
negotiations, or much of anything that really matters is not our fault.
We do, however, owe it to ourselves to find the help and support we
need to overcome whatever limits us. And not being empowered around
money is highly self-limiting and frequently, self-sabotaging.

So, I say, it’s time for us to raise our collective financial
self-esteem and know that we are capable of conquering the money domain
just as we have conquered others. By choosing to become fully empowered
personally and financially, we can achieve the peace of mind and
freedom we deeply desire and greatly deserve.

I invite you to explore the deeper side of money in your life. It is a
very rich and complex aspect of who we are as human beings. I offer you
these questions to begin exploring your relationship with money. It is
a very worthwhile journey.

Prayer for Prosperity
Dear God, source of Love and Life who brings abundance to all,
Please bring prosperity to me and my family now.
We ask that these basic needs be filled:
Money to pay our bills,
Income to meet our mortgage (rent),
Enough to feed us healthy food,
And more than enough for health care and wellness.
Beyond the material needs, please uplift our souls.
Inspire our creativity and resourcefulness.
Guide us in improving our lives.
Please help us to hold on to faith
