Singer Carrie Underwood is not ashamed of being very religious in her Christian faith and in her marriage with Mike Fisher. “God put us together and continues to bless our marriage," she said. “You know, family, friends, people that I get to meet and I get to hear their stories. I’ll probably hear some fan stories and stuff like that today, you know? It’s just always cool to be able to incorporate incredible stories about people that you know or people that you meet into your music.” When she wanted to release the song "Jesus Take the Wheel," people advised against releasing a religious song as it could hurt her career. She was pretty shocked. "I grew up in Oklahoma, I always had a close relationship with God. I never thought it was risky in the least. If anything, I thought it was the safest thing I could do."

Actor and martial arts star Chuck Norris was on the wrong path and recommitted his life to Christianity in 2009. Hollywood was becoming a burden to him and he started to lose sight of what was important in life, like his family and his faith. Before Norris was in Hollywood, he was a member of the United States Air Force and earned his black belt that led to a successful chain of karate schools. He is very outspoken about his faith and has to correct people sometimes. "It’s amazing because people come up to me and say, 'Chuck, you’re the luckiest guy in the world to be a world karate champion and a movie and TV star.' When they say this to me, I kind of smile because luck had nothing to do with it; God had everything to do with it," he told CBN.

Television host Steve Harvey loves to give God credit. The comedian, who won Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host and Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host said God has been good to him and he "couldn't have done it without Him, our amazing crews and you, thank you for all the support." Harvey also credits having faith and working hard. He remembered when he was homeless and was living in his car that he started crying one day. "A voice said, 'If you keep going, I'm going to take you places you've never been,'" he shared with People magazine. "It was like God said, 'Don't quit, you're almost there,'" he said. Harvey still hasn't forgotten those leaner times in his life and wants to urge others to endure during their struggles.

When McEntire and Narvel Blackstock declared their separation after 26 years of marriage. She remained steadfast and said the God was her best friend. “I can’t imagine living a life without God in my life. He is my best friend, He’s my buddy, He’s the one that I talk to when there’s no one around. I talk to Him when people are around a lot too. He’s my confidant, He’s my advisor, He’s my director. I just don’t know why you wouldn’t want that in your life. He’s just like a bodyguard, He is your protector.”

Actor Pierce Brosnan credits God and prayer for giving him the power to get through the immense pain of losing both his daughter and wife to ovarian cancer. "To watch someone you love have their life eaten away – bit by bit, by this insidious and horrid disease – becomes an indelible part of your psyche," he told the Mirror. Prayer helped Brosnan with the loss and "Now prayer helps me to be a father, to be an actor and to be a man," he added. Matthew McConaughey gives God credit and he is not ashamed! He preached this after winning the "Best Actor" award for his role in the film, "Dallas Buyers Club." He said that God graces his life in a way that is not human. McConaughey grew up Methodist and stopped attending church when his career took off. This changed after having his children with Brazilian supermodel Camila Alves, who is Catholic. The church was important to his childhood, even if it was just for the ritual. But “I noticed how much I missed it and needed it," McConaughey said who attends a non-denominational church in Texas, godreports.com shared. Engraved on his wedding band is Matthew 6:22: “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.” The actor has also quoted the late Charlie Laughton, who said, "When you got God you got a friend and that friend is you." Of course, McConaughey was jeered by the public for witnessing about his religion, but this doesn't stop him.
