Christian Celebrities That Rarely Share Their Faith With Fans

Hollywood has a godless reputation. It's thought to be a place full of sin, parties and rock and roll. It's no surprise that for many celebrities, being a Christian is a difficult task. Many Christian celebrities have been highly criticized for their Christian faith, but stand up and still choose to share the Word of God anyway.

However not all celebrities are quite as vocal about their Christian roots. Despite reading the Bible, attending church and the like, there are many Hollywood stars that simply don't share that part of their lives with fans. It's not always a bad thing, as many are still growing in their faith which can be a private matter. However, their fans could truly benefit from hearing the Word of God if their favorite celebrities decided to use their platform for good.

Here are some Christian celebrities that rarely share their faith with fans.

Miley Cyrus

Wild-child Miley Cyrus might not be the first person you think of when you think of Hollywood Christians, but the truth is she identifies with the faith. Over the past several years, Cyrus has toned down her party attitude and gotten her life more in order. Cyrus told a reporter that part of her transformation came from her decision to steer clear of substance abuse. The transformation hints that she is growing personally in her own faith and spiritual identity, which is likely the reason she hasn't spoken about her Christian faith with fans a ton quite yet. There have been a few Instagram posts where she has discussed Jesus, but we think one day she will be a larger advocate.

Ryan Gosling

It may come as a surprise to fans that this well-known actor is a believer of Christ. Ryan Gosling grew up in a Mormon household, and has spoken briefly about how religion impacts each aspect of his life. “My mother admits it: She says, you were raised by a religious zealot. She’s different now, but at the time, it was part of everything – What they ate, how they taught,” Gosling said. Gosling still considers himself a Christian but now says he is a “non-denominational”. Given the way he was raised in a stricter religious household, it's not as much of a shock that he doesn't share his faith as openly. We suspect he wants to respect the religious choices of others.

Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban both have very successful careers, but it wasn't always smooth sailing for the couple. Keith struggled with alcoholism, while Nicole went through a bad divorce with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. However they stuck it out together and a huge part of their success was their faith. “As an observer, I would say his faith is a strength,” Father Ed Steiner of The Cathedral of Incarnation exclusively told CelebBuzz. He has mentored the couple and believes that faith has assisted in Keith’s sobriety. While the couple oftentimes does not discuss their relationship or their faith, it is clear that they both are faith driven.
