6 Celebrities Who Love Jesus Christ

It’s sad, but a lot of celebrities in the lime light still shy away from speaking up about their love for Jesus Christ. In many cases, Hollywood stars are more comfortable speaking up and supporting a presidential candidate versus announcing their support for their Lord and Savior. This doesn’t mean that these celebrities aren’t true Christians, however it does mean their love for Jesus Christ is has limitations. On the other hand, you have a number of celebrities that quickly credit Jesus for their achievements and abundance of blessings. These individuals understand the magnitude of Jesus’ sacrifice and how that has directly affected their livelihood.

When you hear a celebrity talk about Jesus Christ openly, an internal flame ignites, and that fire is filled with passion and extreme joy. Not only are these celebrities utilizing their platform to pronounce the greatness of their God, but they’re showing everyone that Jesus’ love has no limitations or boundaries. His greatness is so magnificent that they want the entire world to know. Whether they speak His name during speeches at major televised events, during a mainstream interview, or in random conversation these celebrities are proud and in love with Jesus Christ. Their loud and proud nature has helped them find peace within their heart and soul. Furthermore, their love has brought them closer to Jesus Christ. Manny Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao has been very outspoken about his relationship with Jesus Christ. He has openly discussed how God has spoken to him personally and has even been quoted saying that he has seen the end of time. In an interview with The Guardian Pacquiao said that hearing God’s voice made him tremble and melt. “I feel I have died. It was an amazing, amazing experience,” said Pacquiao. He went on to say, “I’m happy because I found the right way, salvation, born again. We are required to be born again, all of us. Christ said unless we are born again we cannot enter the kingdom of God. So it’s very important to me. Jesus Christ said: ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ There is no other way the only way is through Jesus.”

Interestingly, Pacquiao was not always so holy. About 10 years ago, Pacquiao could often be seen at all hours of the night being unfaithful to his wife and engaging in other obscenities. Oddly enough, Pacquiao was born a Catholic and his mother actually doesn’t approve of his born-again Christian religion – she still tries to instill Catholic values to her son. Pacquiao no longer is unfaithful to his wife, he has cleaned up his act and now lives a life in which he places God as his number one.

George Foreman

In 1977 George Foreman fought a match against boxer Jimmy Young. Foreman lost the fight and it was a tough pill for him to swallow. In many interview Foreman has recounted that night saying he had died and gone to a dark place, however the grace of God rescued him and allowed him to see life in a totally different way. Shortly after the fight, Foreman turned his life over to God and decided to become a Christian minister. He even wrote a book, God In My Corner that explored his spiritual journey and the experiences he had before meeting God’s grace.

If you Google Foreman’s name you’ll of course see various articles about the great fights he fought in, but you’ll also find Georgeforeman.com. This site houses everything Foreman and of those top things is Jesus Christ. Foreman has been preaching at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston, Texas since 1980. Each time he preaches he stands tall and proud and speaks loudly about his love for Jesus Christ. He talks about the salvation that his Lord and Savior has provided him.

Denzel Washington is not shy about his love for Jesus Christ. Every time he receives an award you’ll hear him thank Jesus Christ first and recognize his greatness is due to the blessings of his Lord and Savior. In an interview with GQ Magazine, Washington said that he reads the Bible every day and had an intense encounter with the Holy Spirit during his twenties. The devout Christian and son of a Pentecostal minister said that his father heavily influenced his life because of his presence and influential nature. Washington’s encounter with the Holy Spirit occurred in the church that he still attends 30 years later. “The minister was preaching, ‘Just let it go. I said, ‘I’m going to go with it.’ And I had this tremendous physical and spiritual experience,” Washington told GQ. The experience frighten Washington, so he called his mother and she told him that he was being filled with the Holy Spirit.

The GQ interview is certainly not the only time that Washington has spoken up about his love for Jesus Christ. If you look up quotes by Washington you’ll find a plentiful amount that credit Jesus Christ for the wisdom, happiness and infinite opportunities that are provided. My personal favorite is, “You’ll never see a U-Haul behind a hearse.” Meaning God puts us on this earth to make a difference in lives of others. The materialistic items that we believe are important are in fact not. Instead create a legacy that’s worth remembering with people that will remember.

Award winning professional tennis player Michael Chang has named Jesus Christ the reason behind his amazing success. In the 1989 French Open, Chang was not expected to do much – in fact, he was thought to be the number 15 seed. He had become the youngest player to win a match in the U.S. Open two years earlier when he upset Paul McNamee. Chang was most definitely the underdog, with a third round lost and a body frame that didn’t resemble that of a professional athlete. Fast forward to the end of the game – Chang wins. In a recent interview with Vice Sports Chang said, “I honestly feel and believe in my heart that part of the reason why I won was because God allowed me to win to put a smile upon Chinese people’s faces during a time when there wasn’t a whole lot to smile about. Some of those matches are definitely matches that I really had no business winning, but for one reason or another, God pulled me through those matches. In many ways, it was a fairy tale story.”

After many years, Chang still coins God as the reason why he won and openly discusses how this moment in his life forever changed him. In just about every professional or motivational speech that Chang gives to the public he always starts off with thanking God and says that Jesus Christ is the reason why he’s here today with so many opportunities.

Angus T. Jones was once one of the highest paid teen actors in history. In 2012, Jones posted a video on YouTube dissing the sitcom Two and a Half Men where he had starred in for several years. In the video he said, “You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like [Two and a Half Men]. I know I can’t.” He finished by saying, “I’m not okay with what I’m learning, what the Bible says, and being on that television show.” Jones did later put out an apology, however he stood by his ground and reiterated that the show didn’t exemplify the feelings he possessed as a follower of Jesus Christ.

The media and many fans had a complete field day with Jones’ words; however, there is nothing wrong with what Jones said. It was his opinion. Ultimately, his love and devotion for Jesus Christ filled his soul and helped him see that the career path that he was currently embarking on was not a fit.

Carrie Underwood is one of the best female vocalist of our time. She has not been shy about her love for Jesus Christ. On social media she’s captioned a photo of her and her husband Mike Fisher with, “God put us together and continues to bless our marriage.” Not stopping there, Underwood even sings songs that discuss the power of Jesus Christ.

On Oprah’s Next Chapter Fisher and Underwood talked about the role that God has played in their lives. “We both grew up in Christian families and spiritually we were always on the same page and understood each other,” said Underwood’s husband Fisher. The couple talked about how they pray together every day and read the same spiritual books to help fill their souls. In fact, Oprah interviewed the couple in their home and displayed everywhere were profound scriptures and other dedications to Jesus Christ. Underwood understands how important Jesus Christ is in her life and ultimately she wants to share that devotion with any others that are willing to listen.

There are so many other great celebrities that aren’t afraid to shout from the rooftops about their love for Jesus Christ. When you have such a profound relationship with Jesus, its hard not to be excited about your connection or not discuss your love with everyone else. Maybe if more high profiled people were willing to talk about the God, there would be more unity and understanding across the board about other things.
