Award-winning actor and director Denzel Washington and his wife, actress Pauletta Washington’s marriage has served as one of Hollywood’s longest lasting relationships at over 35 years. Denzel explained why their relationship has lasted, saying “I just think that you have to work at it. Not give up on each other. It’s a commitment. It’s not all the honeymoon, it doesn’t last forever, so you work at it. And hopefully you’re good friends first, that might help!” Furthermore, the couple heavily relies on God and their faith. The couple raised their family to be Christians, and spent time teaching their children about the faith daily.

Hanks said, "We learned the secret of happiness with each other a long time ago and that's always telling the truth." Rumors once swirled that Christian couple Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher were headed towards divorce. However despite any ups and downs, their marriage has remained strong. Underwood told Life & Style that hard work, faith and commitment to family are the key elements needed to have a successful marriage. Asked about the role faith continued to play in their lives, Fisher said: "Christ is first in our lives and hopefully that's portrayed in how we treat people...proclaiming it the right way, that's what we try to do. We're not perfect. I'm not perfect by any means. But definitely know that Christ is the answer and definitely important in our lives, and hopefully people see that and are attracted to it."

She’s always been there with her love, and it has certainly made me forget the pain for a long time, many times.
