Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries – 72 Days

With her face scrunched up in tears, shouting “I can’t do this anymore,” viewers tuned into Kim Kardashian’s marriage breakdown on her hit reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Everyone knew the fairytale with basketball player Kris Humphries was over. Many accused her of making a mockery of the married life and that it was all a publicity stunt. Unsurprisingly, the divorce lasted longer than their marriage.

Most of the bad press went to ex-hubby Kris Humphries, who has now fallen into obscurity. While Kim Kardashian one-upped her celebrity status with a recent marriage to hip-hop artist, Kanye West.

Mario Lopez and Ali Landry - 2 weeks

Saved By the Bell actor Mario Lopez had a little too much fun on his last night of singledom. He cheated on his bride-to-be, model-actress Ali Landry, hours before saying “I do.”

In his telling memoir, Just Between Us, he admitted that he wasn’t ready for marriage, nor was he in love with Landry, but was too afraid to speak up.

"Once I took responsibility for my feelings, acknowledging how I had so mishandled my decisions, lightning hit me with the truth: I wasn't in love,” he explains. “The thoughts came streaming in, but it was too late. My misgivings reared their ugly heads and I knew I should have broken things off with her before I strayed.”

Both have moved on, remarried with families, but have yet to reconcile.

Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra – 9 days

Round of applause to this wacky couple that, at least, made it through the week. Seven-time NBA champ, Dennis Rodman, said “I do” to Baywatch actress Carmen Electra at the ultimate location for weddings: Las Vegas.

Nine days later, Chicago Bulls star filed for an annulment. But they decided to see how this marriage thing works out, staying together for six months before Carmen pulled the plug and filed for the divorce. Years later, Carmen told People that her marriage to Rodman wasn’t what she wanted.

"It's easy to get caught up in a moment,” she said. “You think it's romantic, but then you realize, 'God, we did it in Vegas?' It's like getting a cheeseburger at a fast-food restaurant."

Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney – 4 months

Actress Renée Zellweger considered her marriage to country crooner Kenny Chesney, “the biggest personal mistake” of her life.

A brief romance developed after they met at a tsunami relief concert in January 2005. After five months, they jumped the broom on St. John in the Virgin Islands. But all was not wedded bliss. After four months, they called it quits. Renée admitted in the British magazine, Now, that she was not looking for marriage.

"I was looking for something else. I just needed to put acting aside,” she explained. “I needed to sit still and not to worry about the dresses and the hair and the travel and the interviews...I was going through huge life changes at the time. I wanted to stop and be a girl for a while. My marriage came during this time and it was desperately important to me. I don't want anyone to think I didn't take it seriously."
