The Running Man Challenge: the Newest Viral Craze
First we had Gangnam Style, the Harlem Shake, and planking. Now, the internet is erupting with the newest viral video comedy titled the "running man challenge."
The internet trend has put a new spin on the running man dance set to the 1996 hip-hop hit "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJ.
Two high schoolers, Kevin Vincent and Jeremiah Hall, were bored in physics class one day when they first came up with the dance and then posted it online. They had no expectations of it receiving much attention.
However, the trend quickly went viral after two University of Maryland basketball players, Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens, made a spin off of the original video. Though the first video was posted only three weeks ago, version of people doing the dance have now started to spread to the NFL, NBA, international police departments, and much more.
