Grace Unplugged is a movie that everyone can relate to and it is presented in a down-to-earth tone. The main character Grace rebels like every young adult and her parents, played by James Denton and Shawnee Smith, react just like any other parent trying to protect their child.
Throughout the film Grace, struggles with her relationship with God. She doesn’t understand what do with her gift of song and doesn’t know how to use her calling for the good. After testing her boundaries and limitations, Grace is able to let go of control and allow God to guide her down the path that is necessary for life. Once she allows God to take back the control of her destiny, everything else falls in place.
Grace Unplugged will pull your heart-strings and make you shed tears, as you view the reality of life on the big screen. Also, being able to see the truth of life portrayed by someone else will make you feel like the obstacles and circumstances that we all face are normal and part of reality. Throughout the film, Grace is presented with several situations that make her question her values and judgment but in the end she sees the bigger picture – just as we all do once we’re able to see the light.
