Inspiring Duran Duran Songs for Tough Times

When pop rock icons Duran Duran visited Hampton Roads, Va. they still proved that they still have “it”. Yes, after 30 years of making music and influencing Generation X, the British group still knows how to put on a show and make women swoon. All the original members, except for guitarist Andy Taylor, he left in 2006, rocked the stage in Portsmouth, which was at the tail end of a 20 month 'All You Need Is Now' world tour. The band of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor, and Dominic Brown pulled on fans’ heartstrings with the inspirational song “Ordinary World” from the “Wedding Album” (1993). Le Bon kicked off the ballad by speaking to how resilient America is and how she can influence other countries with the same strength and hope.
