Rejected Bachelor Contestants Find Love

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have been two of the most beloved shows on TV over the past decade. The show, however, has gotten a ton of flack over the years for not producing long-lasting relationships. Don’t feel bad for the Bachelor alums, though. While many of the contestants didn’t find their true love on their season, they did find love with each other. Not only are a lot of former cast members finding relationships with other rejects, they are now getting married and having kids.

The saying “you will find love when you stop looking for it” applies to these former reality stars. Once they stopped focusing on their love life on the ABC hit show, they could look outwards and find “the one” with other former contestants. Here are six couples that are now living a happily ever after due to being on The Bachelor and Bachelorette.

DeAnna Pappas and Stephen Stagliano

DeAnna Pappas’ broken engagement to Jesse Csincsak didn’t just work out for him. DeAnna also met her husband through the Bachelor family. After a failed season on The Bachelor and another as The Bachlorette, DeAnna met her soulmate through Bachelorette Season 5’s Michael Staglinano. Stephen Staglinano, though he wasn’t on the show, is Michael’s twin brother. Stephen’s connection to the Bachelor nation allowed him to meet DeAnna, and they are now happily married. They wed in 2011 in Georgia and welcomed a daughter named Addison Marie in 2015. They now have a newborn son, Austin Michael, who was born in March 2016.

You might not remember these two, as John and Tara were both eliminated in the first round of their seasons. However, their shared experience brought them together when they became friends on a private Bachelor Facebook page in 2009. They corresponded back and forth for a few months before they decided to meet. They announced their engagement at a Bachelor/Bachelorette alumni reunion the following year and then tied the knot in Florida a few months later. They now have a son, Warner, who was born in 2012. “What an amazing 2 years it’s been: Dream man, dream wedding, dream home & now a baby,” Durr tweeted shortly after her baby was born. The couple still stays strong today!
