Express Love with Food in New Ways
Culturally and historically, the preparation and serving of food has been an expression of love, hospitality, nurturing, and caring. If food is love, how do you express your love for yourself, for your family and your friends through food? Some tips:
*Make your refrigerator into a take-out deli of healthy eating for yourself and your family.
*Don’t just buy fruit. Ripen it, peel it, and make it available as a fast food.
*Bake a batch of healthy oatmeal cookies including nuts and dried fruit, and make them small in size.
*Use the dinner table as an opportunity to say “I love you” with flowers, placemats, and candles.
