The Living Bible (TLB)
Unlike most English Bibles, The Living Bible, created by American author and publisher Kenneth N. Taylor in 1971 is not a translation of the Bible, but a paraphrase. Inspired by his kids lack of understanding when it came to reading the King James Version and the Revised Standard Version of the Bible during family devotions, he wanted to create a work that would clear enough where what was being read would come easy. He used the American Standard Version of 1901 to base the text.
