We might not have concrete proof on how life started, but one thing is certain. You can't deny there is a God. The intricacies of the body are incredible and lead to a designer who orchestrated the nerves, the organs, the brain, the heart and the miracle of life. Even philosophers like Plato recognized the concept intelligent input, Apologetics Press shared. But how can science and faith work together? Do they need to become separated? Many believe that science and religion can’t coexist. Yet, this makes little sense as there is irrefutable evidence of God’s work around us and in us. Here is how the body proves that there's a Creator.

The Brain

The brain produces millions of messages every second and it deciphers what to keep. Our brains have the ability to physically restructure responses to thoughts, behaviors and emotions. It has the ability to reason, make decisions, produce feelings, to visualize and to communicate with others. The brain is a complex system that scientists can't truly figure out. Bert Thompson, Ph.D. and Brad Harrub, Ph.D. explained that the brain can carry out countless physiological functions, most of which we understand at only a very basic level. "How can we take three pounds of matter, and in that small space cram all of our education, memories, emotions, likes and dislikes?" With such complexities, the brain continues to stump researches who want to understand its vast depths.

The Brain Stem

When you look at the brain stem alone, you will be amazed. The existence of an Intelligent Designer can be seen in this amazing part of how we function. The brain stem includes the hindbrain, the medulla, the pon and the cerebellum. The medulla handles the digestion, the heart rate and breathing. The pon sits above the medulla and controls our motor skills. Behind the pon is the cerebellum. This controls voluntary movements such as posture, balance, coordination, which gives us balance and muscular activity. "Like the pons and medulla, all of the neurons descending to the lower brain stem, cerebellum and spinal cord and ascending to the diencephalon and cerebrum pass through the midbrain," Inner Body shared. The brain stem is vital to your survival and doing daily tasks that we all take for granted.

The Laminin

The laminin is a protein molecule and there are thousands of them in the body. Laminin is the protein that holds us together. They consist of heterotrimeric glycoproteins that bind regions for collagen, integrins, cellular domains and proteoglycans such as dystroglycan. All these proteins play a role in our bodies as without them, we could not live. The cell adhesion molecule is "organized into a specific structure and it dictates what job the cell performs in the body. In other words, it literally holds all the cell membranes in your body together," Beliefnet offered. There is more to this human glue. Laminins also form as a cross in the body. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God!," 1 Corinthians 1:18 recorded. God really is the glue that keeps us together.

Bone Tissue

Our bones are pretty amazing as they are living tissues. We are born with 300 soft bones and when we become older the cartilage grows and is slowly replaced by hard bone. To make it run like a machine the skeletal tissue needs water, vitamins, hormones and input from other systems. Without the circulatory system or the digestive system, bone formation could not take place. "A loss of any of these vital components would result in physiological abnormalities of the skeletal system and negatively affect other body systems," explained Dr. Brad Harrub who authored the books Convicted: A Scientist Examines the Evidence for Christianity and Heart of the Matter. Also, think about your body movements and what it takes to do things daily. We couldn't run or do any exercise without our bones as we would be blobs. This is the result of a great Mechanic!

The Placenta

It takes a lot of moving parts to be born into the world. The placenta is vital to this support as it sustains, protects and nourishes the fetus. When the fertilized egg divides, one part forms the placenta and the other part is the baby. Let's put it in a way that will encourage you. Since the health and the survival of the baby are the priority, the mother has no control over of the placenta. Not her brain, not her organs, nothing. It operates on its own timeline, a perfect timeline. It is still a mystery how the placenta prevents the mother's body from rejecting it because the baby is a foreign object, but it doesn't. The placenta also filters toxins from the baby and gives the unborn antibodies from the mother's blood. It gives the many vitamins, minerals and all sort of nutrients.
