Sunday is for Families

There was a time when Sundays were spent gathering with family and friends at one home or another. People attended church and then gathered afterwards to a leisure Sabbath. Pope Francis reminds us of those days when he says “Sunday is for family.” Cliché’s abound about family being the cornerstone of society and yet when given an opportunity to live those truths, very few of us do anymore. This particular point made by the pope, when taken in context of the list, is very do-able because once an examination is done about our individual priorities and an honest embrace of choosing to “live and let live” we begin to see the great value of a Sunday spent with family.
