Form a Medical Mission
Does your church have parishioners with a desire to heal those living in dire poverty? Thankfully, the Catholic Church of St. Monica in Duluth, Georgia has many. Since 1999, the church has been committed to helping the people of Sacre Coeur Parish in Hinche, Haiti. Since then, it has gradually established semi-annual medical mission trips, a permanent medical clinic, a soup kitchen, a safe water program and more. Deacon Edward Rademacher, the Haiti Twinning Executive Committee chairman, says “All of what we do is supported by the generous support of the people of St. Monica's parish and the need to serve the poor in Haiti.”
