Religious, but not godly

Back in the days of Christ, the two-faced, argumentative, “holier-than-thou” religious leaders that Jesus repeatedly called “snakes in the grass” and “decorated graves” were known as Pharisees. They offered long, flowery prayers to show everyone how righteous they were. In fact, they were the worst possible fakes. They were “religious” but not godly.
