A wonderful gift
Franklin has been there, after all. He grew up in a rough part of town, raised by his loving aunt who was struggling just to make ends meet. “When I was growing up, Christianity was not cool,” he remembers. “I just found myself struggling with it and, you know, struggling with not having a mom or a dad. I got into a lot of trouble as a kid. Then a friend of mine got shot and killed and that was the changing point for me."
