Hinduism
Hinduism has a lot more in common with Christian beliefs than you might realize. Many people don’t understand that Hinduism is actually monotheistic. While they are millions of deities, most Hindu’s view them as emanations of one spirit.
There are also several Mother Mary temples in India dedicated to Jesus’ mother and her worship. Hindu’s believe she was an incarnation of a goddess. This has led many Catholic missionaries in India to travel to these temples to worship her likeness.
The birth of Krishna, who is believed to be the direct descendent of the Hindu God, has several things in common with the birth of Christ. Both were born of virgin mothers, are part of holy trinity, were resurrected from the dead, performed similar miracles, and had angels looking after them. They also taught many of the same morals, including nonviolence, forgiveness, love and prayer.
