Overcome Trials With Joy

Count it all joy - James 1:2

Joy in the midst of life challenges and trials strengthens our faith. Tackling hardhip with a smile makes us steadfast in spirit. Stand the test and receive the crown of life!

Put Faith To Action

Faith by itself, if it does not have works is dead. - James 2:14

The Christian life is lived in both word and deeds. James reminds us that faith and action work in tandem; and having one without the other makes our walk incomplete.

Show No Favoritism

My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ - James 2:1

Showing partiality creates division and honoring others based on wealth and social standing is not the Christian way. Love one another and see everyone as a child of the Most High God.

True Wisdom Comes From God

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle... - James 3:17

We learn that there is worldly wisdom and true wisdom which comes from God. True wisdom is demonstrated ultimately in our conduct towards others.

Our Pride Is Our Enemy

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble... - James 4:6

The Bible says that our pride, selfish ambitions and desires are at war within us. They are the main cause of fights and quarrels because neither party is willing to submit or back down. Once we find a place of submission and humility, God can work to resolve the issue.

Pray & Praise

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. - James 5:13

Prayer and praise conditions the heart to receive from God while revealing impure motives. Taking time to practice this in the midst of any situation will empower the believer with supernatural grace and ability to overcome.

Confession Heals

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. - James 5:16

Find an accountability partner or a trusted friend that you can confide in. Don't resign yourself to carry one sins and secrets. Bringing these details to light with someone you trust can bring healing to your life.
